SL AP Voucher Import Assistant

I have a site using the AP Voucher Import Assistant that was downloaded from PartnerSource.  Has worked well for them over the years (SL2015 & Excel 2013 32-bit).  Another site expressed interest in using it, so I copied the working Excel file over to their environment (also SL 2015 & Excel 2013 32-bit).  On the new site, the Import Vouchers code fails with the "Class not Registered" error when firing the code sivTB.Login (ServerName, SystemDB, CpnyID, UserID, "").  Both use Windows Authentication for SL.  Things I have verified:

  • Object Model is registered in SL Registration
  • There are no MISSING References in the VB Project

Anything obvious I am missing?

    Hello Mark E,

I've never used and really didn't know such a tool exists, since SL has "transaction import"

I will check with other agents to see if they've had any experience with the tool.

    Best Regards,

    Hello,

myself and a co worker tested the voucher import on 2015cu2 and 2018cu2, we both got various login errors (2015), Error 6 and assertion failures in 2018. So my guess is that it doesn't work in those versions...We don't get any class not registered errors..Only excel 2013 worked for me otherwise the worksheets were all disabled.

I probably can guess that these won't be updated .

    Best Regards,

    Jana MacDonald

OK.  I can understand where these might not be updated, but is there no longer any way to use Excel for Object Model integration?  All the documentation I can find is quite old.  Would appreciate knowing if there is current documentation on Object Model integration support.

    Thanks.

So I have been doing some error trapping with this file and other Excel based Object Model examples I have found.  They all seem to fail on the "Set sivTB = New SIVToolbar" code.  I did some searching, and found this article related to SL7, where a HF was later delivered.  Wondering if this similar issue is related to SL 2015 CU2 and later.  I do have the AP Voucher import tool working on one SL 2015 install, but it might be CU1.

Resolved this issue with the findings from my other related post on Excel/Object Model integration.
