Hide "Import From Excel" through out the system

Posted on by 1,654

Users should not see this in the ribbon
Please note, this is not the Export to Excel that can be managed via Security role.
Please advise.

    Hi Inkey,

You can hide/remove it with the help of Ribbon Workbench.

This is the download page for Ribbon Workbench:http://www.develop1.net/public/rwb/ribbonworkbench.aspx

This is the basic tutorial of Ribbon Workbench:https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/develop1/posts/mastering-ribbon-workbench-2016

    1.open soluntion.

The "Import from Excel" button is on the left of the "EXPORT TO EXCEL" button in the o2 group.

Some buttons may not display intuitively, they are shown in pop-up, just no icon.

    2.Switch to the TABLET tab.

you can hide this button using security role permission changes.

You can take out all permissions from Data import and then user will not able to import data into system.
