Compatibility of Database of AX 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2012 R2

Hi,

I have an environment of AX 2012 on SQL Server 2012 R2 and the database server is on a Windows Server 2012 R2 operating system.

According to the documentation for Microsoft AX 2012 R2 does not support Windows Server 2012 R2. Could you tell me if the databases must be on another operating system?

    Hi Rocio

    Use a operating system does not supported, especially on Production, isn't safe.

    If you want avoid any issue, you have to use Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

    However, as my experience, Windows Server 2012 R2 work well.

    I've used a Production AX 2012 R2 on Server 2012 R2 and it works just fine.

    Just make sure you have the latest Cumulative Update 7 and it works a charm

    Thanks for the answers!

    SQL Server has its own requirements of hardware and software and I think there should not be problem. But the Support of Microsoft tells me that the databases should also be on a supported operating system, that's what has me confused because in the documentation of Microsoft only indicates the versions of SQL compatible and not the operating system that must have SQL Server.
