can't change description name fixed asset

when change description name fixed asset   give me an error 

Number CAR-0001 does not match format SF-CAR-###.

anyone have a solution?

    Hi,

    There seems a problem with the setup of the number sequence of your fixed asset number.   I have seen similar error messages if you specified that the fixed asset id has to be for example 4 digits long and entered manually. When users entered it manually they then entered 5 digits.

    Can you please double check your number sequence setup?
