Sitemap link to specific view - Open in same window

Posted on by 120

Hello,

Im adding some subareas with type "URL" to link to specific views for an entity.

The URL's are working and visible in the sitemap but when clicking on the navigation item it opens up a new tab (not in the same window as other entities).

Is it possible to design the URL to open in same window or is it by design that URL items will always open in a new tab?

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions!

EDIT: It's On-premise version 9.0

Hello and thanks for your answer.

I've tried with removing "my.org" prefix from the URL's and saving it in sitemap however either it gives me a sitemap error or doesnt show the subarea at all.

This URL works when pasting it in browser:

    /main.aspx?appid=<APP ID>&pagetype=entitylist&etn=<ENTITY NAME>&viewid=<VIEW GUID>&viewType=1039

However when using it in sitemap it gives an error when clicking on the subarea:

"Sub area NewSubArea_K682aa6e with relative Url /my.org/main.aspx?appid=<APP ID>&pagetype=entitylist&etn=<ENTITY NAME>&viewid=<VIEW GUID>&viewType=1039 was expected to map to a webresource, but doesn’t contain web resource path webresources/"

    Hi DaveTheAdmin,

Does the url you are using contain “https://myorg.crm.dynamics.com”?

If so, it will open new tab after clicking it on the navigation, you need remove it from url.

    just *** it: /main.aspx?pagetype=entitylist&etn=account&viewid=00000000-0000-0000-00aa-000010001002&viewType=1039

    Test:

    1.Contain "https://".

    New tab can be opened.

    2.Not Contain.

    pastedimage1613700944807v7.png

    Not open another new tab

If my understanding is wrong, please provide the url you are using and the relevant screenshot.

    Regards,
