Sales TAX on project Invoice is empty

Dear Experts,

Need your help to set-up Sales tax on project invoices. I am using AX 2012 R3.

I have setup default tax group for customer, Project contract, billing rule and project. Tax is setup based on the percentage of net amount but it is not reflecting in project invoices. Please guide if i miss any setup.

    Hi,

    Can you check the following:

    1. Whether you have selected the 'search' sales tax group parameter in the project parameters form

    2. That you have either

       - a sales tax group setup at your project level

       - a sales tax group setup at the project contract level, or

       - a (customer) account is Setup in the General tab of your Project and that this customer account has a default sales tax group setup.

    3. Please check what item sales tax Group method has been setup in the project parameters form

    4. Check what item sales tax group you have setup at the project category level.

    you are saying sales tax does not show up on your invoice proposal.

    When you look at the posted transactions (in the "Posted Transactions") form - do you see these transactions populated with both Sales Tax Group and Item Sales Tax Group?

    If not, it means you have not set up correctly the defaulting rules into newly created transactions - so your problem is not specific to the creation of the invoice, but something went wrong before that.

    You can try to replicate it by creating hour/fee/expense transaction and observing if both these values are getting defaulted into the newly created transaction.
