    Hi ,

    are you trying to populate the field through code , or you have join data sources?

    Regards,

    no i only need to modify certain relation in the same table to refer to RecID of another table as it is shown below:

    Relation in a table needs to be changed

    PurchReqTable.BusinessJusticiation==BusinessJusticiationCodes.RecID

    i need to change that BusinessJusticiationCodes and call another table

    You get what i mean..

    if you have two relation pointing to the same table then you need to fill the related table role and role id properties, and if you are modify existing one, then I suggest to delete it and create new one.

    I cannot delete the existing one because it is created by the system itself

    I can't create another relation linked with that field as that field is linked with existing relation in the table so my main target is to let that field point to another relation

    since it a standard field you can't change it because it exist in Sys layer, but I suggest to add a custom field of type enum of Type YesNo and make it invisible  and add that as fix field value to the existing relation of value 'Yes', the create new relation to the new table with also fixed field value 'No', ad fill role Id property .
