Hello everyone, I would need your help to understand the consent issue on Dynamics Customer Insights journey. I've seen that it's possible to manage compliance profiles and I can use external profiles to have them read consents. Is it possible to do this? Could you explain how it's done? Because I'm really struggling with it. What I would like to achieve is that from a website where the user can unsubscribe from the newsletter, I could use this external link to automatically update the record in the CRM. Could someone help me?

Hi,

According to the Microsoft documentation.
Consent management overview - Dynamics 365 Customer Insights | Microsoft Learn

The external link allows you to configure the website URL that points to the externally hosted subscription center

Therefore, you can select the external link profile in the compliance profile of the email.
This way, when the user clicks unsubscribe they will be redirected to the external subscription center.

However, the subscription center does not apply to topics.
You can only update contact records (such as the DoNotBulkEmail field) and data in subscription lists from the Subscription Center.

Therefore, it is not possible to manage consent on the newsletter topic through the external link.

Hi,

You could connect the form on the webpage to Dataverse with Power Automate.

That flow can create a post in the Consent center (msdynmkt_contactpointconsent4) with the info filled in from the form.

You could also use the "donot .... " field on the contact table if you relate the e-mail from the form.

The "when a HTTP request is received"-trigger / add a "response" then Add a new row with the related e-mail into dataverse.
