Cannot Hire This Applicant. Applicant is already Hired

I have a client that is attempting to use the "hire" function. They have an applicant in GP, but after filling in the information to "hire" the applicant. GP is throwing a message that the applicant has already been hired. There does not seem to be an employee ID with this applicant information.

    Thanks Andrea! It looks like that HR2APP12 table was the culprit here. This fixed the issue and everything seems to be working correctly. Thanks for your help!

    Yes, I have one more idea on this.

    The HR2APP12 table in the DYNAMICS database is the table that stores applicant information. When the applicant is hired, the STATUS0_I field is updated to be a 4 (for hired). Check to see if the STATUS0_I field is a 4 for this applicant. If it is, update it to be 0, and then try to hire the applicant again.

    Thanks for the idea Andrea. I ran those scripts and didn't return and results. I also checked for the name, and no records for that either.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hi JBurgess,

    The only time I’ve seen this message crop up is when the employee has already been hired. With that  said, there are several tables that are updated when an employee is ‘hired’ and the user chooses to then save the employee record in the Employee Maintenance window. I wonder if some of these tables already have records in them, and that’s what is causing the problem?

    Here are the tables that are updated when a user completes the hiring process:

    SELECT * FROM UPR00100 WHERE EMPLOYID = '6297'

    SELECT * FROM UPR00102 WHERE EMPLOYID = '6297'

    SELECT * FROM UPR00111 WHERE EMPLOYID = '6297'

    SELECT * FROM UPR00904 WHERE EMPLOYID = '6297'

    SELECT * FROM APR00100 WHERE EMPLOYID = '6297'

    SELECT * FROM HR2EMP02 WHERE EMPID_I = '6297'

    SELECT * FROM HR2SAL01 WHERE EMPID_I = '6297'

    SELECT * FROM MPOSMAIN WHERE EMPID_I = '6297'

    SELECT * FROM MPOSHIST WHERE EMPID_I = '6297'

    I suggest you check these for the employee in question. I created the scripts above to be specific to the employee id I’m seeing in your screenshot.

    With that being said: If you don’t see any records associated with this employee id, then also check for the employee name as well. It’s possible this employee was already hired with a ‘different’ employee id.
