    Hi,

Instead of updating existing createdby field which is tricky, why don't you create new custom lookup field To User and populate this field.

Now use this field in your view/plugin/workflow for your requirement

    Hi JeffGreenrc,

Especially after the Andrew Butenko reply. I do not think there are further suggestions or solutions required. I am wondering why you are still expecting more.

If I answer your question then please mark it as verified.

Let me know if I can provide you with more details.

    Thanks

    Hello,

There is a way but it would require one tricky plugin to be developed - missdynamicscrm.blogspot.com/.../crm-2011-2013-modify-createdon-createdby-modifiedon-modifiedby-using-SDK-CSharp.html

    Hey Jeff.

Does it makes sense to update the "Created by"? The creation of a record is a one-time event.  If there are further updates, then those would be "Modified by".

Perhaps, if you have an automation that should create records, it should use some sort of impersonatin (Create records as...)

    regards

    Hi JeffGreenrc,

As per my very little knowledge. I do not think so there is a way to do so.
