We have AX 2009 linked with a mailbox hosted on Exchange 2010. I would like to understand if we create a mailbox in the cloud and link it with the AX application. Will it work?
Dynamics AX 2009 is a very old application and is not supported anymore by Microsoft. I guess that it will not work out of the box, but I can't verify it as I don't have a copy of this application anymore. If not working, you can try to customize it, but I would recommend updating your environment to e.g. Dynamics 365 anyway to prevent security and compatibility issues.
