Rounding issue while calculating values

I have a standard lines table with an amount field of edt AmountCur. Now based on an amount user decides I need to update the values. Suppose if the value is 20000. The updated values will be

In table level:

2301.38

1689.01

3335.33

1334.13

4002.4

3335.33

The sum of values is 19999.98

But if i see in Sql level it is equal to 20000.

2301.380828

1689.013408

3335.334534

1334.133814

4002.401441

3335.334534

If I want to try to add the penny difference to last line, If I write Select sum(AmountCur) from table1;

table1.AmountCur is returning 20000.

So what is happening here, even though table level values give me a sum which is equal to 19999.98 but in reality it is treated as 20000 by the system? If that is not the case can you help how I can overcome this.

How do you check values on the table level?

it's not the best way to check. Table browser is just a form and it rounds values as well. Check what you have in SQL as you do or via x++ job. If you need more decimal places change EDT to show more to the end user.
