Retail modern POS images

Hi,

I came across very few blogs explaining the procedure how to enable product and category images on retail modern POS, however, I am encountering a number of issues in correctly achieving the images on the modern POS.

Does anyone has a concrete set of steps, or can provide steps to set-up images for modern retail POS?

Besides the blogs explaining this, there is also the Microsoft released .pdf

(whitepaper: InstallRetailcomponentswithContosodemodata.pdf) explaining how to install MPOS (and particular to your case the images). I got it working some time ago, following mostly the steps in there.

Do you have that document? (I can't find a link right now, but still looking and maybe I can let you know later).

Thanks for this Hitesh.

I am going through all the steps, but having an issue when it comes to Catalogue. I have no catalogue created and thus I am trying to create a new one. However, the following error is being thrown:

Field 'Owner' must be filled in.

I can only insert a Catalogue name and Description

I have finally managed to create a catalogue and publish it, thus going through all the steps required.

Still no images on the modern POS.

What version of the product you are using?

What exactly you did (be very specific) to setup images?

Please also use any tool which captures http traffic and see whether the JSON response from Retail Server (for those calls corresponding to categories/products) contains images or not, this will allow to narrow down the issue.

Hi Sergey,

I am using Dynamics AX 2012 CU10 and have managed to upload images on modernPOS.

The main issue was firewall blocking between the retail media server and the mPOS machine.

So issue sorted :)
