Assign Work Order scheduling to multiple ressources

Hello,

Is it possible to associate a work order with several resources?

For example, I want to assign a WO to John, Donald, Tom and the A1 truck. I would like to see in the planner that all its resources are reserved.

Microsoft has introduced the concept of Crew. However, this does not correspond to my need because I should have as many Crews as I have the possibility of combining resources. If I repeat my previous example John, Donald, Tom, Tom and A1 truck are a crew. But I could have another Crew with the A2, A3, A4 truck or Donald without John or Tom without Donald, etc.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

OOB you can create 4 bookable resource bookings against the work order? Would be quite manual though.

We probably need some more context, but for now some of your options include:

    • 1 WO with multiple RRs, 1 booking per RR. All bookings would be separate.
    • 1 WO with 1 RR, multiple bookings for this RR. Again, the bookings would be separate, but you could build add'l logic as all of them are linked to the same RR.
    • Have you considered Requirement Groups (docs.microsoft.com/.../multi-resource-scheduling-requirement-groups )? Those bookings will be linked to each other, i.e. you can see them in the split view and if you move one booking, the others will follow.

    Hi KMARE,

You can assign a single Work Order to multiple Resources in Dynamics 365 Field Service. You can use the “Schedule Assistant” for scheduling a Work Order to multiple Resources for the same day and time.

In order to use the “Schedule Assistant” in Dynamics 365 Field Service, sign in to Dynamics 365 and navigate to the Work Order (which you want to schedule) and click on “Book” button (On the Ribbon).

    Please refer below screenshot,

Once the “Book” button is clicked, it will navigate you to the “Schedule Assistant.” On the “Schedule Assistant” you can select any Resource and provide the “Start” and “End” time for scheduling the Work Order.

    Please refer below screenshot,

You can follow the same process for scheduling same Work Order for different Resources and you can set same “Start” & “End” time for the same.

Note: It won’t allow you to schedule multiple Resources at a time, you will have to schedule each resource individually.

After this booked Resources will be reserved for that specific time on Schedule Board.

    Please refer below screenshot:

This way you can schedule a single Work Order for multiple Resources in Dynamics365 Field Service.

    Hope this helps.
