Hi,

I have a scenario where the Requested ship date should be calculated by the system backwards from Requested receipt date specified by the customer. We are not using ATP, however we have a standard lead time of 3 days and transit time from point to point setup under the Shipping carrier (Transportation module) for a specific mode of delivery. How does the system propose the requested ship date in this case?

Can you confirm path where you configured the transit time and if this works at the header and line level or just the line level? I have a similar requirement and configured transport days for different modes of delivery from a warehouse to a specific zip code however I cannot get the system to calculate the requested ship date after entering the requested receipt date. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Ok just to clarify, the simple requirement is that the system should propose the requested ship date based on the "Requested Receipt Date" which is promised to Customer.

So if have the point to point transit time setup for the shipping carrier as 3 days and the requested receipt date is 10/12/2017 then the system proposes 10/09/2017 as the requested ship date.

I am confused, you had an issue with the lead time using TMS and the setting of the transit time by mode of delivery not calculating the requrested ship date, but now you say your setup is working how you want it. What is your question?

Hey Guys,

We don't need any customization here, it works out of the box based on the transit time defined in the shipping carrier. So if the customer requested receipt date is 10/10/2017 and transit time between Shipping WH and Customer location is 4 days then system would propose 10/06/2017 as the requested shipping date.

Have you looked at sales lead time and transport days? I am not sure the TMS days impact on the sales order like that (from what you have posted it does not), transport days can impact, but you would need to look to ensure these are not both taken into account in planning etc.
