Can you have 2 different companies that don't share a currency in the same instance in GP

I have a client that needs a new company setup, copied from and existing company with a different currency. The new company will be functional and reporting in a different currency than the existing company. Can they co-exist in the same instance? I know I will need to update the currency after copying.

What if down the road the client decides they want a consolidate financial report. Is there something i need to do to make this easier if that happens?

Brenda,

You can have Multiple Compnaies setup with different Currencies on the same insatance.

Assuming that GP is not a real old version, then you can consolidate the Managment Reporter Companies with different Companies.
