Would Dynamics NAV work on UNIX Server?

Hi,

Does anyone know if Dynamics NAV will work on UNIX servers? I asked this question on the partner source. But their Dynamics Operations team were saying they are not trained on functionality or compatibility of NAV and directed me to here.

Appreciate if anyone can provide some information about this. Thanks!

Generally, MS SQL is now available on Linux, so you can try to partly place the tiers on Linux. You can in theory use Windows emulator, but I do not see a reason for that - better just to use normal Windows.

Hi, I don't recommend you to use any kind of emulator. Discard this idea, it will crash sooner or later. If you want to do that you should install NAV Server on a virtual machine :)

Thanks for the reply, Ahmed. When I googled this, I found someone recommend to use Window Emulator on UNIX.

Hello Jingxia. No nav does not run on unix servers.
