Help pls! Any way to reprint an Sales Order Confirmation, after order has been shipped/invoiced/archived?

Hi!

Brand new here because the boss asked me to find out if it is possible to dig up somewhere an order confirmation.

We're on a Dynamics Nav 5.0 (built ?, Pepplestone included).  For some reason in this specific incident, the order confirmation was actually printed, put in an envelope & and snail-mailed to the customer. The order is long shipped, invoiced & archived.

My gut tells me that unless it was also send as email (as sometimes is the case), there's no way to recreate the order confirmation, unless you "cheat" and ask your developer to copy the confirmation report and base it on the archived order.

I hope somebody in the forum can help.

    Hi

    Yes you are right, the order confirmation is a report that looks at the un-posted order table and generated the document

    As it has been posted the records have moved to the posted table and cannot be seen by the confirmation report anymore

    You would have 2 options, both requiring a developer:

    Option 1 if you don't expect this to happen again is to have the developer create the order in the un-posted tables again and print the doc for the client, then delete them

    Option 2 is to have the developer create an order confirmation report that looks identical to he current one but prints off the posted tables giving you the ability to reprint this one and any others into the future
