Sales Discount Trade Agreement Party code (Open in Microsoft Office)

My client has a requirement where they are performing pricing by variant.  We often have them use the Add Products option to blow out the detail for their variants.  The open in Excel to quickly copy and paste information.  However, we are unable to under the Customer group code as it is telling us it is a read-only field.  I believe it is because the trade agreement believe the lines are for All customers.

Is there a way to make this easier?  Can we change the default on the Party Code when the lines are created by the Add Products button?  I can't seem to find the party code column in the design button so I don't think there is anything we can do in the excel template.  Is there a process we could use before hitting the Add Products to make it default to group or table?

Thank you.
