object in debugger shows methods which are not actually the part of that object. How to access them?

Hi,

I have a SysReportRun object which when watched in the debugger shows many methods related to the actual report data. But when I try to access them or find them using 'SysTest::hasMethod' for that object the system never seems to find those methods(because I can't find them in the AOT aswell). Is there any way to access those methods?

Thanks

Haris.

Can you give us a concrete example?

Note that methods added in reports are physically defined in SysReportRun class in AOT.

    Thanks for the reply Martin.

Sorry cannot give you a concrete example as my clients are using the Dyxon email tool. And the object is basically the tool's object i.e. 'DYX_SysReportRun' which extends the standard 'SysReportRun'.

But you can help me by telling if there is a way to get the datasource or just say report data using the 'SysReportRun' object?

I'm sorry, but I can't comment on the methods you expect if you don't tell us anything about them. It's also not clear how it's related to a child of SysReportRun. If the methods are defined in the child, then you already have the answer. If not, the fact that you're using a subclass is likely irrelevant.

If you want to see what you can do with SysReportRun class, look at its methods. queryRun() may be what you're looking for in the moment,
