Restrict certain items from shipping to specific areas

Due to shipping restriction on certain items we are only allowed to ship these items in the lower 48 states and only by ground services. How do I block these items from shipping to Hawaii and Alaska? Also how do I prevent these items from shipping via certain services?

You need a customization. You can tables related to Item table where you can specify location forbidden for an item and services for the item. Than in the Sales Order, when entering a line, you can check that tables when validating the item in the Sales Line (for shipping location, I think this is related to the Customer’s location).

Not so difficult to implement I think...

Agreed with Stefano. Modification required to achieve this in NAV. You might have to talk to your NAV partner on this regards.
