Hi Community,
Our client has a partner to translate their knowledge articles into multiple languages, and the idea is to import these translations to D365, it seems simple, but how can we achieve this?
If we use KA import template and change the Language of record row, D365 assumes that it is an update and not a translation.
Also if add a new row with the same data but a different language, it gives Import Fail error: "Unable to cast object of type 'Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.Entity' to type 'Microsoft.Dynamics.KnowledgeManagement.Common.Proxies.KnowledgeArticle'."
Is it even possible to Import KA Translations to D365 out of the box?
Thanks in advance!
André Silva
Hi partner,
It is by design that when we import the same record with different language, it will do update actions.
So I suggest that you could refer to the following ways.
1.Convert the xlsx to csv and import again.
2.Since you are importing other language articles, you could change the article title and number for better identification.
Hope it helps.
Best Regards,
