On Account Transaction - Project Invoice Proposal

I have created a fixed price project and am trying to create an invoice against the project. I can create one on account transaction but when I try to create a proposal the on account transaction does not appear in the search result. When I check the on account transaction the invoice status is changed to nonchargeable.

Isn't chargeable status for time and material projects? Is the nonchargeable status the cause for not being able to create a proposal for the on account transaction?

Hi Amirreza,

Can you check if the Project contract linked to this project has a funding source of type Customer or Grant? If not, they remain as non-chargeable.

Hi Reza,

In addition, can you share some screenshots how you set up the on account transaction and let us know whether billing rules have been set up? Some additional information on your setup would help.

Thanks Andre,

You pointed me to the right direction. The funding source was an internal business unit. The problem is that the sales revenue is funneled through a business unit and we do not track customers in our ERP system. I believe I need to set up the business unit as customer as I need to run the percentage complete process which is feature in fixed price projects.

I have the same problem. But project type T&M. I create on-account transaction but when I try to create a proposal the on-account transaction does not appear in the search result.

There is funding source with type customer in contract

Are you operating AX2012 or D365FO?

What is your exact system version and can you possibly share some screenprints?
