Trouble with "connector" in Business Flow Process

I am having trouble with the "Connector" feature / button within the Business Flow Process dynamic editor. The feature does not enable / function as it is supposed to enabling me to connect an unmet condition to a stage further down the Flow Process. Image included. I want to connect "Background Required" to "Step 3 "in my example.

(I have attempted to use this in Chrome, Safari and IE)

You'll have to use the Connector button on the command bar to create a connection between your condition box and the stage you want to jump to. It is slightly unintuitive, I know...

Thank you Pekka. I understand that to be how it is SUPPOSED to work, however, the connector button is inactive (grayed out) on the Business Flow Process for me.

    Any other suggestions?

Is this a permission setting that may be missing for this feature?

I've solved my own problem. There is either a shortage of documentation on this feature, or it's not as intuitive as it should be like most others have commented on other forum posts.

    SOLUTION

To get "connector" functionality, the a condition(s) must be met for the it to validate and progress straight forward.

However, if conditions are NOT met, they do not need to be written into the rules of the condition. The "X" is then available with the "connector" button / function so that the immediate next stage can be skipped and allow you to connect the flow to a future stage in the process.

    Ryan,

I am still having issue. I am not able to Connector at all. I don't know in my case: I don't have any branch. If conditions satisfied, then proceed to next stage. I have nothing to skip any stage in my BPF. Your help to make use of Connector helps a lot. I have issue that whenever I do any changes and activate, I am only getting one stage with FINISH button. It is not getting me next other stages. Let me know how to get connector working.

    Thanks

    Vijay,

Were you able to figure out how to use the connector button? I am not able to see any comprehensive documentation that explains how to use the Connector button. At times when the connector button is clicked, it highlights possible places where the connection could be made and it works but at times it doesn't show those highlights. My requirement is Connectors in BPF

    Thanks

    Shyam

For those still having issues with this, you need to have 2 regular stages in a row somewhere after your condition in order for the Connector button to un-gray.  Yeah, dumb.
