Fixed assets upload DM Major type must be filled

Posted on by 10
Hi,
Does anyone know why may I be getting this error? Major type is not a mandatory field thus it should be ok to leave it blank. The field it's not being used and when creating them manually it's ok to leave it blank.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions and for moving the thread to the correct forum. The unticking of the "Call validate field method" did not work. What did work was the ticking of "Ignore blank values" for all the fields I was not using.

    Hi,
You can try to navigate to Data management workspace> Select the entity 'Fixed assets V2 entity' > click Modify target mapping. On the Map staging to target page, you see a list of the staging fields related to the selected entity. Then uncheck the "Call validate Field method" in the field of Major type.
    Best Regards,
    Hana

Moved the question to the Dynamics 365 Finance forum as it is not a question about Dynamics AX.

    Hi Community user,

In case you have this error, then the validation is set on the data entity or the staging table. You can go to the data entity (via form Data entities on the Data Management workspace), check out the fields, and try disabling the field validation.
