POS and Retail email receipts

Hi,

I am having a huge issue in AX for the Retail side. We have an email receipt which is created from existing AX report "RetailTransactions" Report. So when a customer makes a transaction in the store he/ she will receive an email of this report in their inbox with the respected email they have provided in the store with all the purchasing details along with the customer card number (last four digits).

But one of the customer is receiving most of the emails of the other customer which is a huge issue. I am sure how can I diagnose this or where to start from? Can someone please guide me for the same?

    Hi,

Are you describing fully standard functionality or customization?

If this is standard, please, describe the full process how sending of emails is organized (using this information it will be possible to check what can be wrong)

    Regards,

    Oksana

    Hi Oksana,

I have an existing report RetailTransaction in AX 2012 R3, this report is send to customer after their purchase on an email address.

So the working scenario is: Customer goes to a shop and purchase the goods they want, they pay their good either by card or cash. When they pay by card the last four digits are shown on the report. We ask the customer for their email receipt so that they can get their receipt copy via email.

But for some reason there one of the customer name - let say "Perry" who will receive other customer receipts like "John", "Alex" and so. Also John and Alex receive their respective receipts, but why is Perry receiving I don't know how to start with the diagnose of this issue.

    Please guide.

    Hi,

Are you using Retail > Periodic > Send email receipts functionality to send mails?

If yes, you need to debug RetailEmailReceipt class that is responsible for sending mails - standard code looks OK (so your scenario looks not possible), but maybe you have some customizations there.

    Regards,

    Oksana

    Hi,

Did you fix your issue? I am having similar issues with Retail Transaction Table.

    1) 'ReceiptEmail' field in RetailTransaction table has wrong email address(other customer email address) for few transactions? This happens only for few transactions, not all transactions.

    2) Even though receipt option is setup as 'POS' in both Accounts Receivable >Customers > Retail Tab>Receipt Option and Retail>Setup >Retail Parameters >Posting> Email Receipt, all customers are receiving email receipts?

    Please help.

    Thanks,

    SS
