    Hi Sulav,

As I see, you accepted the two previous answers. But I'd like to add a little precision. You do not need the "I have created a new user in my SQL Server 2014" part. NAV handles this for you automatically depending on NAV version.

Follow the steps below to check what I'm saying:

    1. in your test environment, create a user DOMAIN\NAVUSER1 (windows user)
    2. add this user to your NAV 2015 (do not do anything on SQL)
    3. set permission for the user (SUPER for example)
    4. Check your SQL

Result: You will not see DOMAIN\NAVUSER1 anywhere in SQL (server level or database level).

P.S: what I described, is not applicable if you want your user to access the development environment. In this specific case, you should add it to SQL and set necessary permission on the database. db owner works fine for me, although I think it is not the strict minimum.
