Cannot see data when connecting Power BI to Customer Insights (Trial Version)

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I cannot see any data when connecting power BI to Customer Insights. I am trying out the platform (CI) and wondering if this limitation is because i am using the trial version?

Regards,

    Hi Patrick,

We do have an issue currently when there are relationships configured between identical entities (with different relationship names). If this is the case for you, please delete one of the double relationships and try to connect to Power BI again.

If you don't have multiple relationships between identical entities, we need to investigate further. Feel free to reach out to CIhelp@microsoft.com.

    Thanks,

    Stefanie

Mine was due to the relationships created on CI (Advised by Microsoft).

I deleted all relationships and could then see the data.

I recreated and renamed the relationships after that and everything worked fine. I still have other issues with CI though.

I as well cannot see any data entity when trying to access data from CI to display in Power BI.

I am referencing the following documentation: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/ai/customer-insights/pm-connectors

    I still see this:

From the Datasets tab, select the ellipsis (...), and then choose Get quick insights. Power BI uses various algorithms to search for trends in your dataset. Within seconds, your insights are ready. Select View insights to display visualizations.

    Hi,

Thanks for reporting that. This is not expected, however, we discoverd that trial instances do have this issue currently  and we could repro it. We are looking into it right now.

Can you provide some more details, please, to help us solving the issue? Feel free to reach out to me on email under: sthe@microsoft.com.

    Thanks,

    Stefanie
