Health Insurance Deductions doubled in Box 12

I have one category of health insurance that doubled the yearly total of the deduction in Box 12.  The benefit (employer portion) was correct and this only happened with 1 out of 16 categories of health insurance.  I don't see anything different in the set up of this category compared to the other categories.

    Hi,

    I have worked a lot with box 12 lately, it seems to be the hiding place for everything. In the payroll setup of the benefit and deduction, are they both set to box 12?

    Leslie,

      We are seeing the same thing with the doubling. We have a client where the Employer Healthcare Benefit is coded correctly along with the EE Deduction for Healthcare. When we ran our Payroll YE, one of the two doubled and was then added to the other in Box 12 DD. It is our understanding that Box 12 DD on Form W2 should contain the total Employer Healthcare Benefit and the Employee Healthcare Deduction. Any idea which one is getting doubled and why?
