Hi,

Attempting to deploy a 7 node D365 sandbox on-prem. Ran into a lot of issues in the first attempt and learnt a few things, then decided to cleanup all the nodes and reinstall from scratch. Didn't have any major issues till the LCS deployment.

LCS deployment ran for more than 2 hours and FAILED. SF shows these Application errors:

  1. AXBootstrapperAppType > Bootstrapper > AXDiagnostics error
  2. AXSFType > AXSF > AXService error

Pretty stuck at the moment, any help will be deeply appreciated! Thanks.

    Dear Ammad,

    1. Drilldown further on AXBootstrapperAppType and AXSFType and get to the error on the SF dashboard. Click on the last nested error and post the screenshots.

    2. Check the Orchestrator and AOS - Event and SF logs to spot the actual error(s). Or still better if you can download and attach then in your response.

    D365 On-premises deployment fail - AXDiagnostics | AXSFType error
    Hi Mandeep,

The environment is on-premises. The downloading phase has been completed. It is failing in the deploying phase. When AXBootstrap application is deploying it throws error on service Fabric cluster and after that AXSF type also got failed.

    Screenshot is attached below:

    Hi Mandeep,

Can you please tell me how you identify the certificate issue. Same error is occuring on our on-premises environment. I checked the logs file, it is stating same error.

    Microsoft.Dynamics.ProductConfiguration.Instrumentation.dll is not present, skipping.

How can I check the certificates on my environment.

RE: D365 On-premises deployment fail - AXDiagnostics | AXSFType error

I was finally able to resolve this with Microsoft support.

One of the certificate thumbprints was entered incorrectly!

A small piece of advice from my experience with on-prem deployment - Check, cross-check and get someone else in your team to cross-check all thumbprints, values, paths etc before deployment.

    Cheers.
