I want to know the pending PR qty for a particular item.

There is no standard report available that would give you that information in AX2012.
You thus need to build it yourself.
Alternatively, you can check whether the standard AX2012 cubes include that information; provided of course that you deploy and use them.

I had a quick look at the standard purchase cube here: docs.microsoft.com/.../cube-and-kpi-reference-for-microsoft-dynamics-ax-2012-r2-and-r3
It does not seem to include a measure for your PR.
Maybe a developer can build you a view / export quickly?!
