Expense Management in Enterprise Portal

Does anyone have any experience of a spate of timeout / unhanded exception errors in the expense management (New Expense Report) in EP for AX2012 R3.

The initial new expense opens without issue, as does adding a category to the expense claim but as soon as users try and add in a date or any other values into the expense claim they get one of the attached errors and have to close the claim, open up and start again. This is obviously causing unrest among users as they system is not working for them at all.

Does anyone have any experience of this kind of issue and how to go about investigating. We have looked at the session timeout and concurrent users in the system and changes to this have made no impact at all to the issues.

Working quite extensively with the expense web page, and not seen errors ... so it must be something particular.

First question is if you have custom code done on your EP controls or datasets?

Second, I would enable debugging on the server for a short time just to see the actual error, you can follow axfaq.blogspot.ro/.../solving-issues-on-ep-page.html.

Thanks for the reply, Iulian. We have no custom code in the Expense Management controls - we have made a couple of changes to the fields in the AOT making some mandatory depending on VAT requirements etc so don't know if this may have had an impact.

De-bugging was switched on mid last week so we will be monitoring this. Any ideas what might be causing this type of error. There doesn't seem to be any specific action which causes it it can happen at any stage of the expense raising process.

    Thanks,

    Bruce
