I have a client wanting to use the allocation groups in the GL. In testing we noticed the percentage allocation method only allocates period balances. Is it possible to instead allocate the YTD balances on a percentage basis?
The actual and ledger methods will do YTD but only on a ratio basis, not on a percentage.
Is it possible to do percentage allocations for YTD balances?

I looked at the options for that screen, I don't think so, but I'm confirming with a GL specialist if it is possible.

You are correct. The percentage allocation only allocates the ptd amount. That shouldn’t be a problem though. Allocate period 1. Then allocate period 2. Then allocate period 3. Etc. If they are in period 06 as an example, by the time they have run the allocation for the first six periods, they have the ‘year to date’ allocated.
