Master Grid and Detail Grid problem

Hi Friends,

Having a problem with my master/detail grid, see pic. In my master Grid, there is matrix id, which is used to link master and detail.

when I add new record in detail grid, I initialize detail's matrix id to master's as well as matrix name in my initvalue method of detail table datasource, it works fine in code when I see it in debug. But, somehow, AX reset it to 0. Therefore, break the link between master and detail.

Where could it be wrong?

figured out, overwrite 'write' method in datasource will do it.
