I am updating the quantity counted and manually inserting a cost price for an item in counting journal and post it. The quantity is updating and showing in the physical quantity column on invent on hand & invent trans forms but cost price is not updating on the invent on hand & invent trans forms and item master cost price. I have check the latest cost price option on released products manage cost section also.

Do you have positive additions due to the counting, deductions or both? What is the inventory costing model set up on the item model group(s)?

If you post positive quantity and do not have any standard cost o the item and didn't put any value manual, then there will be no cost.
I am adding the cost price manually but it is not showing on invent on hand form (invent sum & invent trans both).
Is it possible that you share some screen shots of inventory transaction and how you added in counting form.
Also for item model groups.

Inventory costing model setup on item model group is moving average and additions and deductions both happen in my case. I am inserting the cost price manually while posting the counting journal and quantity as well. Quantity is updating but cost price (cost amount physical) is not updating on invent trans form.
Like asked before by Billur, can you share some screenshots? For the deductions, does the on-hand have a value registered?
Sorry for late reply, I have been trying to debug the issue but failed to find why the price is not updating. I am attaching the screen shots below:
This is one having no invent on hand record and I am creating a new counting for that item and assigning it a cost price.
That is the result of the same item on invent on hand form ( empty cost price)
And this is one already have a record on invent on hand form and I am counting that item and assigning it a new cost price.
That is the result, old cost price is shown on invent on hand form.
Can you also share a screenshot of the item model group?

Here is a screen shot of item model group setup
It seems ok.
And I see there is financial cost.
So physical cost should also be there when you post.
Is it possible you to try with the same item again.
