Remote App: excel is opening from server instead of local machine excel.

Dear all.

I'm using remote app to connect AX client. In sales and Marketing module, When I click on ‘generate template’ option excel is opening from server. It should be use my local machine excel. Please help me how can u resolve this.

    Hi Vishal,

    The setting which is mentioned in the above post, already present and I was able to export excel data from local machine. But my case is when I'm trying to “generate template “ excel is opening from server.

    Hi Ravi, Hi all,

    The Setting "Export to Server/Export to Client" (RDP server is meant here=the machine the Ax32.Exe client is controlled via RDP/Ot the RDP Client machine) is a RDP virtual channel extension and works only (provided the counterpart "RemoteDesktopIntegration" is installed on the RDP client (the controlling machine) for the internal Ctrl+T (Export To Excel) functionality. Exporting Grid ....

    All other 'Excel' things started form Ax client (Maybe using COM technology or even assemblies which do the xl generation in a open xml format, will ALWAYS run on the RDP Server (the Ax32.Exe client)

    So "Export to client" (to the RDP client) can only work for the kernel Ctrl+T (ExportToExcel) feature.
