Hi all,
I want send a Marketing email with Dynamics 365 for Marketing...
I need to insert in this email a button with SAVE THE DATE --> this button must be have the same functionality as ICalendar
So, if my customer clicks on it, he sees that his calendar opens and suggests the date of my event ...
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Francesca
Thanks Dilyana/Clofly for workarounds - Will request you to add/vote this on our ideas forum as feature request so that we can assess broader interest on embedding of event.date as a calendar out of the box within emails
something you might want to upvote experience.dynamics.com/.../
Hi Clofly, thank you...I will try
Give me a shout if you get stuck, I did it in 2 minutes earlier, so happy to help.
Thanks,

Hi Dilyana!
Thank you, I will try :)
Hi Francesca,
You could read below thread as workaround:
As my anwser in the thread, unfortunately the feature that embedding a calendar as attachment and let it show as a notification on marketing email is not available at present, so we have to host calendar ics file externally then add this direct link to button element on marketing email.
Please suggest this useful requirement to Idea forum to make it come in future product at here.
Regards,
Clofly
Hi @Pittarella Francesca,
something you can do is:
1. create you Calendar event as you normally would, in Outlook, Google calendar or whatever platform you normally use.
2. Click Save As, to generate the .ICS file.
3. Upload it online to a space/website you have access to. For demo purposes, I used an available online .ICS calendar with the Argentinian Holidays https://www.calendarlabs.com/ical-calendar/ics/34/Argentina_Holidays.ics.
4. In D365, > create your Marketing Email> Add a button > Link the button to your calendar invite location (in my case - https://www.calendarlabs.com/ical-calendar/ics/34/Argentina_Holidays.ics )
5. Go live with your Marketing Email > Test Send to yourself.
This results in an email, where when you click the button you download the original .ICS file and when you double click on this it opens in your calendar. You can have a few buttons for google calendar, or Outlook, etc.
Is this what you meant?
Thanks,
-DD
