Hi All,

Wondering if there is any way to approve multiple Work Items on your approvals list at once?? Like select several and press approve for all of them at once?

From what I see this is not basic AX functionality. Would it take a lot of development to allow for this?

Yes this is not a basic functionality of Dynamics AX

you need to do customization

complexity of this customization will be medium

in this customization we need write a function which will select all the assigned work Item and loop through it and call the workflow approval function to approve one by one.

Please verify and let me know if you need any technical support to customize it.

Hi Rosey,

The workflow approval is designed to approve documents separately. As also Nitesh answered it is not possible without a customization.

But if you allow the mass approval, what is the purpose of the approval? In that case it might be worth to configure an auto approval step in the workflow which will prevent a customization.

Hi, Andre,

please look at this scenario:

I enter 20 lines in my weekly time sheet. I'm working in 2 projects with 2 different project manager. 15 lines have to be approved by PM-1 and the other 5 lines by PM-2. PM-1 opens my time sheet and on glance can see what I've entered for his project. He/she return one line for correction. For he is OK with the rest of the lines he wants to bulk approve them instead clicking 14 times button Approve. Is it possible without customization?

The question also relates to Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
