Data Management/Data Entity Import : Full Rollback of partially Succeed

Hello Team,

I am importing 500 records using a data entity.If error is coming any of the record then system is skipping that record but inserting other records successfully.In the end of execution partially succeed message is coming.

But the requirement is like - system should rollback all the 500 records even if error is coming only in one record ...its ttsbegin/ttscommit kind of requirement ?

How can i achieve it ?

That's not possible. Every record is handled individually.

What kind of data is this? Could you let us know more about your business requirement?

User is importing general Journal lines (LedgerJournalTrans).

If the error will come even in a single then there will be Debit Or Credit mismatch and voucher will not post.

Though user can delete the Unposted Journal and can try again.

But it will be good if there will be a feature of Complete roll back. It will save the time.

Its not possible, if you want everything to be rolled back then you need something custom.

Are you using standard ledgerJournalEntity for importing journal data ? The way error handling is done in this entity is you can see from copyCustomStagingToTarget method. There are several validate methods which mark the record in error status in staging table . What you can try though is creating duplicate of this entity and see if you can block the final insert , which creates line in the journal.

back to your response where you are saying user are deleting journals - You dont have to really delete those records from the journal . If you can fix the records in staging and re import those records , those are going to be created in Journal instead of doing whole process again after fixing the file.

Hi Piyush/Sukruth.. Did you find exactly where to stop partial insert in LedgerJournalEntity, which Journal having some error lines.... i have duplicated Entity and related objects...

Got same requirement to stop creating a journal if Data job is partially executed
