Hi guys,

How to run Workflow Type Wizard from AOT ? I'm following this document

especially this part ->

Follow one of these steps to open the Workflow wizard. The wizard will help you create a new workflow type.

In Application Explorer, right-click the Business Process and Workflow node, and then select Add-Ins > Workflow type wizard.
On the Project menu, select Add new item. In the Add new item dialog box, select Workflow type. Enter a name for the query, and then select Create.

As the 1st option is Wizard, but as I check in my VM, right click on Business Process Workflow or in Workflow Types node it self only give me few options like Overlayer, Refresh, Property.

I mean I used to create this Workflow Type with Wizard instead of manual, because it creates us the necessary thing like menu item and all right ? What we need to create manually is just the Query, isn't it ?

Hi,

Use menu item of the form that you want to show workflow.

The other blog, its your browser problem.

Hi both,

Thanks, so it is and suspected. That is why, I cannot trust Microsoft Docs so far, too bad though, it's kinda unfortunate, because also it is difficult to understand somehow, but inaccurate, this is another thing ! Well, at least there is a starting point.

Anyway I can run the wizard, at first I thought this step going to be manual but it's not.

To Blue, Thanks for the reference, it's look ok, but many pict cannot show, is it happen to you as well, or wondering it is my browser problem, but did try in other browser also not help.

Btw, about the Document menu item, what setting I should put ? it doesn't seems to mentioned in both documentation.

Hi,

The text is not appropriate and no object can be created from Application explorer. Everybody sees only those options when right click on Application explorer.

If you have created your own project. Right click on your project, select Add New then you will be shown with this screen.

Follow that, you can create your workflow type.

If expected query is not available then before you create a workflow type, you must create a query that will access the table fields for the workflow document.

Manually create,

At moment when you want to add Workflow Type, by running Wizard, Don’t look at AOT Explorer. This is no more AX 2012. Instead here at AX7, Right click your project and select “Add new Item”; Navigate under “Business Process and workflows” This is the point from where Workflow wizard will start.
