    Hi ,

    There are two ways.

    1. Setup security accordingly

    2. Change the form view and share with the users.

I haven't been able to figure out how what menu item it is within the privlege. Was hoping to get that here.

As for changing the form view, I've never done that so will do some research to see if that would be appropriate for what I'm trying to do.  We want a certain role to have the access to the button but no other role.

    Hi TAgnew,

The End button has a link to the action menu item 'ProdHistoricalCostAction'. This is part of the privilege End productions (ProdHistoricalCost).

In your scenario, I would not go for the option to hide it and share it as Saved Views to particular users. Users can change the view and have the button visible again. The security configuration option would be the recommended approach for this scenario, in my opinion.

This worked! Thank you so much.

Is there an easy way for me to determine what privilege and menu item buttons belong to?

    Hi TAgnew,

The option to check which menu item is used would be having access to Visual Studio with the development tools for Dynamics 365 F&O. You can then check on the form design what menu item is used. From there, you know to find related privileges and more.
