Dear Experts,
I need a setup in warehouse, where the inventory go exceed of limit(limit number will be given by warehouse or something like that), so it give error or warning.Help!!!!!!!!!!!

I will not suggest you to even try to think to move and migrate just for this small requirement. Better you do customization for the same.
Just to give you an idea the quantum of work which needs to be done refer my reply in below post.
Can you migrate to WMS easily no, partially no.
Can you write code ? yes- Yes. see my previous comment - you need somewhere to record for each location the max quantity or volume of each item that might be stored in that location - if an item can be stored in different locations e.g. 1 ton, 2 ton or 3 ton silo then there are different values for what can be stored in different locations.
If you store different item codes items in the same location, or even on the same pallet then it is much more of a challenge, because there could then be any combination of items.
If you enter an item code and a quantity then you can in principle with code look up whether it is greater than the recorded max value and stop the receipt transaction completing.
It is likely to add a lot of overhead in a busy warehouse so you would need to test.
I doubt I would agree to do this if it were my warehouse. It seems overkill for what ought to be a rare problem.

Thanks for your replies, OK, if i want to migrate data from inventory management module to Warehouse Management module,Which of the things would be migrated and wil we l be able to use both the modules?? or only one of the module will be used only. For example inventory module is used by other departments as well.

Another option is you migrate your current solution to new advance warehouse management process which is too much a task considering your reason (Want to use stocking limits) which is fairly small.
Note migration is a huge task and the effort required to migrate is no less than a fresh implementation. Its a big work in case you start think on this option.

No! Please never even try to get them working together as these are two different modules which do not work together.
Any attempts to to make them work together will bring failure for sure. (100% failure)
In case you want this functionality better think in terms of customizing the existing inventory management process to limit stocking limits for pallets.

I appreciate your views and response, but is there any way to write the code and resolve this issue in some way.I mean to say that can we put some condition or write some code to reach to any consequence for this issue in this setup(inventory Management)

Its not recommended and will cause issues in your system. ITS A BIG NO NO.
Advance warehouse management should never be used with legacy warehousing together. Its either one of them.
Note from Microsoft
Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 includes new Warehouse and Transportation management modules that are enabled by a single configuration key, along with the previously released Warehouse management II module. Users should enable the configuration key for ONLY ONE of these modules, but not both, in a single-instance, single-partition deployment. Although technically feasible, enabling the configuration keys for both of these modules in a single-instance, single-partition deployment is not supported by Microsoft.

Yes, we are using( Inventory Management Module) for warehouse, is it possible to enable warehouse module and start work on that ??or both are not possible to run??(inventory management Module and Warehouse Management Module). It means inventory management module and warehouse management could be run on same time to achieve that goal of generating warning or error for location.

I fear if you are using traditional warehousing in inventory management there is no such clear functionality to help you out here.
