Missing company from management reporter 2012

Hi All,

I have created a new company/subsidiary X.  However, when I try to run the management reporter 2012 for the financial statement, this new company X does not show up on the financial statement.  We have many different companies/subsidiaries, but they all show up on the financial statement except this new company X.  The little red dot error message on the reporting tree definition page is that it is "unable to connect to the source system for company X".   I try to look at the column definition and the reporting tree definition and they're fine to me.  Is the problem rooted from the process when I created this new company X, or is it from the column definition or reporting tree definition?  I just can't get this new company X to show up in the management reporter 2012 financial statements.  Greatly appreciate your inputs.

RE: Missing company from management reporter 2012

    HI,

i need to do calculation in the row itself based on the current company for example, i'm using same row definition for all companies (legel entity) but in particular row i need to check if the current company = DAT then print 10*10  else if company = USMF then print 10*15 else 0

is there any way to achieve that instead of replicate the row definition?

I recently went through this with a partner who had inherited an installation of Management Reporter from a previous partner.  They had no idea where the server tools were installed, and could not find the console. I recommended they involve Microsoft Tech support to help them install a new instance of the Configuration Console, without disabling the currently running components. This worked out fine for them.

The name of my server is http://gp01:4712/.  After I connect to this server, I still don't see the console folder.

    Thanks

You are missing the server components, which wouldn't be a surprise if you are working from a workstation and not the server that Management Reporter operates from.  When you open Management Reporter, you can go to Tools > Connection and you should see the name of the server running MR (i.e. http://server:4712/)  You will need to access the server, in order to run the configuration console.

    Hi All,

I check my folder, I only have management reporter\2.1\Client folder, I don't see anything regarding the server or console folder.  Am I missing something with my microsoft dynamics software?  Thanks

The Configuration Console application will be in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics ERP\Management Reporter\2.1\Server\Console folder on the machine running Management Reporter.  Start the console and navigate to the ERP Integrations folder, then click on small Import button under Company Import. This will query the Dynamics Database and should identify the new company you've setup.  Then, you click the Larger Import Companies Button in the bottom right hand corner of the navigation.

You need to go to your start menu>>All Programs>>Microsoft Dynamics>>Management Reporter 2012>>Configuration Console (this would be for version 2.1.) Then go to Company>>ERP integrations and highlight your integration and go to Company Import and import in the new company to either your data mart or legacy component and then it will be available.

If you are still on the old management report and have not upgraded to MR2012.  Then you need to go to the Companies tab>>NEW and add your company and give it all the revlevent information for adding a new company and then it will be available.

    Hi Harry,

Can you explain what is the step of " setting the company integration up in the Configuration Console" means?  Maybe I did maybe I did not perform this step, but I'm not sure what exactly is this step.

I don't see anything in your post about setting the company integration up in the Configuration Console. If you have already performed this step, please ignore my suggestion.
