Permission Changes Log Report

ReportReport
Posted on by

Hi

I have a customer wanting to print a Permission Changes Log report located in Human Resources > Reports > Personal Data > Permission changes log

The issue I have is that there is no Personal Data menu under Reports so I can't get to this actual report, although it does exist in the AOT under SSRS Reports\Reports\EePermissionChangesLog

Can anyone help?

Regards

Mark

What exactly prevents you from printing the report?

    Hi

I can't access the report at all, the folder Personal Data menu under Reports in Human Resources isn't showing. This folder contains the following reports -

    Access log (report)

    Permission changes log (report)

    Personal chart (report)

But the folder Personal Data isn't showing, although I have full access.

I guess that you're talking about a physical location on report server, but please tell us what happens if you try to print the report in AX.

Or do you mean a menu inside AX when you're talking about a folder? Please give us a better description.

    Hi

Yes, from within AX, when I navigate to Human Resources > Reports in AX 2012, in here I was under the impression there was a personal data menu with the permission changes log report as per TechNet article -

Name of report in the AOT

    EePermissionChangesLog

Location of report in the AOT

    SSRS Reports\Reports\EePermissionChangesLog

    Menu item of the report

    EePermissionChangesLog

    Navigation to the report

In AX, click Human resources > Reports > Personal data > Permission changes log

Because, as per standard AX, this is available for only Country: Republic of Estonia

you can remove this restriction or you can add your own country as well.

    Hi Mark,

Sohaib is correct. It is created for Estonia. Once you have at least one legal entity in your environment where the Country/Region is Estonia, it will collect data from all legal entities as well. I have not checked if the report then can be printed from the Estonian company for all changes related to also other legal entities. Possibly you can just have an empty Estonian company or like Sohaib mentioned customize it to remove the country restriction. Note that the data collection is now looking at existence of a legal entity with the EE country region code. This regardless the menu item properties. So also the data collection should be customized then.

    Hi all,

I found your post very interesting and a good solution for AX. Are you aware of any similar report in Dynamics F&O?

    Best,
    Luca
