5Hi All. New to the forum but hoping someone can offer some guidance.
I am looking at fixed item locations on product codes. Taking one code as an example, this product can be in various colours but have the same part code - just a colour variable. I would like 99% of the colours to have a shared fixed item location but one of the colours to have a different location.
In Warehouse Management, a fixed item location is set for the top level part code. A product variable is also set for one colour with a different location. These both show when looking at the product data page.
However, when testing it, I created a PO for the part in the variable colour, booked it in and the Putaway Work generated for the top level fixed item location.
Is there a way of making this work as hoped? Does this make any sense?
