Cannot Insert Data Into Table

Hi All,

I face problem that looks weird.

The version of AX is just AX2012(neither R2 nor R3).

When I try to insert some data into (table)EcoResTrackingDimensionGroupProduct, an error like below appears and not be able to insert the data.

Of course the table doesn't have the data.

How can I solve this situation?

    Hi Lifeisbelieveful,

Your first screenshot shows the table with data. As it is showing record ID's I cannot comment if the product is included already or not. However, also check which indexes are used on this table and see if they prevent duplicates.

    Hi Andre,

The only index which is not be able to duplicate is product field, and I'm sure that the same product doesn't exist in the table as I shared the image.

    Thanks.

    Hi Daniel

Just to make sure there is no problem with RecId (as duplicates are not allowed), can you try creating a new item directly in released products and see if it goes through. It would atleast help isolate the problem.

Your screenshots don't provide enough information to understand the problem.

    - We can see that Product recId 5637154327 doesn't exist in EcoResTrackingDimensionGroupProduct.

    - We can see that trying to insert a record where product number is 033505010 and tracking dimension is BN fails because of "The record already exists" error.

We don't have any link between these two pieces of information. Could you maybe share some screenshot where we could see if EcoResProduct 033505010 has RecId  5637154327?

By the way, have you done any data management operations such as imported data directly in SQL lately? If yes, your RecId number sequences might not be up to date, and that would also explain this issue. In SystemSequences table AX stores the next available RecId for each table. If that sequence gives numbers that are actually already present as RecId in the target table, you would also see this error.

    Thanks all,

All replies inspired me to access this problem.

    There is conflict with RecId.

It was really helpful for me.

    Thanks.
