problem with project server integration

I'm having a problem with project server integration. Below are the steps i've followed


 1. have setup project server
 2. have setup reporting server
 3. Synchronization proxy is installed
 4. Synchronization service is installed
 3. Installeed integration component via dynamics ax.
Now,
i've created a new project in Dynamics AX and enabled integration for it. But the project is not
integrated to project server. I cannot see the project in Project server list.But this record now got
displayed in Synchronization service queue manager of dynamics AX with 'Synchronizing' status 'No'. I'm stuck
up to this point. i do not know how to proceed further.

Could anyone of you help me out on this issue on how to proceed with next step

    hello,

     I would firstly check MS Project is set up to integrate. To do this you:

     1. Into MS Project > Tools > Enterprise Options >MS Office Project Server Accounts

    2. Specify the AX server name and url to MS Project Server (eg http://projectserver/pwa)

    3. Specify user name/password and restart MS Project

     Then go into AX and check the sync tasks are not stuck on "error" and if so do as follows:

    1. Log in as administrator

    2. Basic > Basic Job List > Check taks "Updates for Project Server Integration". If it shows "Error" under status column then click on Functions>Change Status and select "waiting". Repeat for the task "Process transactions for syncrohnisation service"

    Thanks for your notes,

    However i have already resolved the issue and it was due to Synchronization Service configurations. I could able to integrate Dynamics Ax and project server.

    But now i cannot able to view changes made by project server in dynamics. do u have any idea on this ??. Also i would want to know more abt syns services

    Hi Fayaz,

    Can you tell me what changes you made to the Synchronization Service configurations? I am facing a similar issue of not being able to view projects from AX on the Project web access site.

    Hi, I have integrated Dynamics AX 2009 with Microsoft office Project Server 2007, I am unable to see integration tab in project form .

    Please let me know is there any setting I have t o apart form project->setup->Microsoft Project Server Integration -> Configuration - completed.

    Hi,

    Make sure that you have selected 'Enable Integration' checkbox in Project > Setup > Microsoft Project Server Integration > Configure Integration.

    Hi,

    Thanks for reply..Even after enabling the integration check box also I have n't found any Integaration tab on project form.

    But after creating cubes in project server share point site I got this  integartion tab on project form.

    Hi, I'm not sure this is due to cube creation. 'coz while i integrate, i 've not created any cubes in project server.

    The problem may be due to any of the setting in dynamics ax itself. It might be the company account which you set for integration. Look for the init() method in \Forms\ProjTable where the integration tab is set to enable/disable.

    Hi,

    I have installed Microsoft Office Project server 2007 .

    I have hoted site http://axserver/pwa

    I have installed dynamics AX 2009 synchorinization and Queue servies are up and running.

    When ever I am trying to install integaration componets form project -> setp->Microsoft Project server integration ->configuration integaration always shows "inprogress".

    Everything is fine and up and running but I am unable to install integariton components is there any spcecific reason.

    Try assigning the Synchronization Service Account to the Admin group and then restart the Dynamics AX 2009 Synchronization Service.  I could never get it to work with it only being a member of the SyncAdmin group.

    Hi All,

    We are also facing an issue as originaly described in this thread!

    What we have done so far -

    1. Synchronization proxy is installed on box running project server

    2. Synchronization service  (along with MSMQ)  is installed on AX server running AOS

    3. Installeed integration component via dynamics ax

    4. Enabled the synchronization

    5. Configured AX project module for the integration

    Our problems -

    1. all the sync data from AX to Project server is getting stuck in SyncCompoundDataTrans table. No message / journal is reaching to MSMQ on the server! I also checked for the project parameters setup under the journals tab and 'project/employee' is set to Mandatory under validation.

    2. No data is flowing from project server into AX and we have no way to trace this.

    Has anyone come across such situation. Even if not, would anyone have any clues on what to do next? Please advise. Many thanks,
