First, when you use Advanced WMS, you need to run all the cleaning jobs at a daily bases.
If you are not on CU13 then it would be helpfull if you can migrate to the last version. if you can't then you need to Identify The hotfixes that are answering your issue.
Other Tips: the picking process calls a heavy stored procedure. it has been improved through the updates. you can look for related hotfixes. and you can optimise it by optimizing you Location directives to look in location that have more inventory first it will limit the calls for this procedure.
