Sync Dynamics Calendar to Outlook

I am sorry if this has been asked before but I am new to Dynamics. I am using CRM 2011 and Outlook 2010 and I would like to now if you can sync the Calendars without having to download the program that integrates the 2 so that Dynamics works within Outlook. I have tried that and it is uncomfortable for my use. Thanks

In 2011 you need the Dynamics CRM Client for Outlook but if you upgrade to 2013 or higher you can use server side sync instead of the client.

Thanks Robert

Upgrade Dynamics or Outlook? I dont have control over Dynamcis but I do know 2016 is in the process of been configured for our specific use. So until then it is Dynamics 2011, but I can upgrade Outlook to Office.
