Visual Studio Express 2010 for New install of Dynamics NAV 2013

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Good Afternoon,

I've built a new workstation and need to install Visual studio express 2010 so that I can edit the layout of reports.

I have Dynamics NAV 2013, and it seems that I need to use Visual Studio Express 2010.  I can't seem to find anyplace to download the program.  I seem to recall there being a couple other things that you had to do for this to work?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike D

    I feel like we are making progress.  It now says "Invalid license data.  Reinstall is required.

    I did the reinstall, but it still says the same thing.

    Manish, you are correct.  Seems like this should be easier, but it isn't.

    Suresh,

    Thanks again for the suggestion.  Unfortunately, that did not fix the problem.  I'm still getting the same error.

    @Maneesha De Silva,

    They are using Dynamics NAV 2013, VS2010 is used to develop report for this NAV version. From 2013 R2 onwards you can develop this using report builder.
